Mr. Zip

Played by: XStryker
Overview
Real name Radovan Stojanovic. Serbian nomad, driver, and smuggler. Sardonic and sly. Likes money, women, and speed — in roughly that order, though speed might actually be first. Reliable when it counts. Goes by “Rad” at Ziptown, his home camp — actual origin of his nickname “Zip” (he lets the rest of the crew believe it’s the other way around, that the camp was named after him).
Appearance
Bald. Fingerless gloves plus Mechaman Gloves (smart grip cyberware). Adidas-style leisure tracksuit with EMP threading that lights up white. His car, the Zip Mobile, matches the aesthetic.
Known Facts
- Role: Nomad
- Full name: Radovan Stojanovic
- Serbian descent; family was driven from Serbia during the wars and ended up in the Bay Area
- Grew up in South Bay Drift (south end of San Francisco Bay, roughly between Palo Alto and San Jose); his pack ran a smuggling operation moving cyberware and tech salvage from Bay Area ruins down to Night City
- Competition with other nomad packs made things too hot; Radovan ended up in Night City solo
- Still has family connections in the drift — can arrange a vehicle via a local Night City rep
- Cousin Vanya Stojanovic works as a dock worker at the South Bay port
- Pack: unnamed nomad pack (name TBD)
- Most prized possession: plastic Jesus on the dashboard of the Zip Mobile
- Has EMP threading fashionwear — body and car can be switched to “tron mode” (light blue lines on dark blue)
- Smart link installed; weapon: a Nova Model 757 Cityhunter smart revolver (capable of auto-fire), loaded with Smart Heavy Pistol ammo
- Has a good reputation as a driver and gets-things-done guy; not known for traumatic social entanglements
- Established working relationship with Fix-it-Felix — Felix’s go-to driver
- Distinguishes his nomad pack sharply from the Pacifica Confederacy — when asked about the Duke Boys’ flag, responded matter-of-factly: “You’re not my clan. We don’t hang with that.” Not defensive, just a clear identity boundary
- Owns a Mecha Man Smart Glove (biking glove with subdermal grip, requires a neural link) — installed the subdermal grip component during Session 04 (previously showing as an empty option slot)
- Was interviewed on camera outside Crystal Lily for a segment on a show called Gang Feud, asked a hypothetical about a ripper doc grandmother; answered “hands”
- Proposed titrating/tapering the Vilify nanite connection down gradually (methadone-style) rather than an outright lethal purge — the idea Professor Jackson was ultimately tasked with pursuing
- Session 05: stun-shot Misty Cerulean alongside Kenny and physically pinned her when she tried to flee; proposed grenading The Calling’s remaining members in an elevator (overruled by Kenny); donated his last dose of Kenny’s synthcoke to steady Shoa Ling; powered down his light-up EMP threading ahead of the approach on Continental Brands to stay less conspicuous
- Session 06: leapt off the CB facility’s helipad mid-jump to grenade a helicopter’s interior, then finished off and physically hurled the wounded pilot off the helipad; claimed the helicopter as his new vehicle (Mr. Zip’s Helicopter) and piloted it back to Goose Salvage on a strong Pilot Air roll despite unfamiliarity with the model; confirmed Air Vehicle Tech +4
- Session 07: introduced his home camp, Ziptown, on-screen for the first time; self-identified as “Radovan Stojanovic” to the camp, matching matriarch Mira Stojanovic and cousin Vanya Stojanovic — resolving what had looked like a surname discrepancy with the earlier-established “Dianvich” as a transcription error dating back to Session 00
- Session 07: traded the stolen CB helicopter to Ziptown for a gyrocopter plus 6,000 EB (after a haggle roll); leveled his Nomad role to rank 5 (300 IP), unlocking helicopter/high-performance car/speedboat access; upgraded the Zipmobile from a compact ground car to a high-performance ground car (40 move) rather than take a second vehicle
- Session 07: got the upgraded Zipmobile fitted with bulletproof glass (15 HP/window) by camp mechanic Vesna Ratchet at no cost, with a new black-and-white-stripe paint job; confirmed his Session 06 armor decision — upgrading to Light Armor Jack; earned a reputation point for the Session 06 helicopter heist
- Session 08: took the crew back out to Ziptown to find the Zipmobile finished — new engine, three-white-stripe paint, bulletproof glass; test-drove it on dirt with Kenny and Peaches aboard, spinning out on the first attempt before landing a clean sharp turn, emergency brake, and bootleg turn; installed the plastic Jesus on the dashboard mid-drive; stuck a difficult emergency stop back at camp, impressing Vesna Ratchet
- Session 08: met with Mira Stojanovic about the Blacktop Saints’ encroachment; reconnected with life path connection Peaches, who briefed the crew on the Saints; bought smart glasses plus a low-light cyber-optic upgrade (1,000 EB total, no humanity loss) to ignore darkness/smoke/fog penalties; performed a fire dance at the evening campfire that never quite touched the flames, accompanied by Kenny on Powerglove
- A hero at Ziptown: “our best driver, bar none,” per Peaches, and “the go fast guy in our entire clan.” Known to the Blacktop Saints as “City Boy” because of how much time he now spends in Night City. Sees himself as providing for his people (“I like to get the best for my people”)
- Session 09: led the crew to the Blacktop Saints’ camp and kept everyone in the car (child locks engaged) through a tense conversation with Ledger, insisting they were only there to race. A Persuasion roll with 1 Luck got them waved through; his Human Perception roll to read Ledger’s reaction to the word “engine” failed
- Session 09: beat the Duke Boys and their rebuilt, nitrous-equipped car “the General” on their home dirt track. He blocked with a swerve, got jumped, then critted a 360° swerve through a right-angle corner that left them skidding, and finished with a backwards spin across the line. He declined to knock them off a bridge (“very, very unsporting”) and agreed to a danger race “soon.” The crowd called it one of the best races in a while
- Wary of Pacifica’s friendly face but not eager for conflict. He’s firm that he doesn’t want to start a war between nomad clans, or between his clan and Pacifica, and wants to know “who we might be screwing over, and whether it’s worth it.” Floated disguising a heist as Continental Brands and driving a wedge between the Saints and Pacifica
- Wants a nitrous upgrade for the Zipmobile (rare, “very expensive,” and needs Felix to source it). Pointedly noted he knows where one nitrous is: in the General
- Pitched a bicycle-powered spin class that doubles as the camp’s water-purifier generator: “No generator necessary, no network, no grid, just bicycle”
- Session 09: raised Dance to rank 2 (40 IP); banking the rest of his IP for vehicle improvements
Relationships
- Fix-it-Felix — established working relationship; Felix is a reliable client
- Kenny Log-ins — co-worker (first job together)
- Golden Girl — co-worker (first job together)
- Broker — co-worker (first job together)
- Peaches — life path connection; watched her grow up at Ziptown; she idolizes him and wants drinks and an explanation of why he runs with a corpo
- The Duke Boys — racing rivals, now friendly; beat them twice
Open Questions
- What is the nomad pack’s name?
- Will the pack ever factor into Night City events, or is that chapter closed?
- What’s the story behind the plastic Jesus on the dashboard?
- Does he have any other family connections in Night City or the drift beyond Vanya?
- How does he actually feel about the crew beyond the professional relationship?
Appearances
- Session 00 — Character introduced
- Session 01 — Drove the crew; leveraged cousin Vanya at the docks; attempted to vault the Piranha banister on inline skates (did not stick the landing)
- Session 02 — Won the street race against the Duke Boys (with Kenny as co-pilot); took a crossbow bolt through the rear window; fumbled the duct tape on the cleaning lady; fired his smart pistol on autofire in the clinic combat; fired a grenade from his flare gun into the hallway; took significant damage from a guard’s heavy pistol
- Session 03 — Spent most of downtime healing; Kenny crafted AP, smoke, and tear gas grenades for him; investigated Martin Gorsky’s apartment with the crew (conceal/reveal roll 16 — found the critical notebook); informally claimed the abandoned apartment at Brzezinski Arms; agreed to the CB retainer (“I like money”)
- Session 04 — Interviewed on camera at Crystal Lily for Gang Feud; proposed titrating the Vilify hive-mind connection instead of a lethal purge; installed the subdermal grip on his Mecha Man Smart Glove
- Session 05 — Stun-shot and pinned Misty Cerulean; proposed (and was overruled on) grenading The Calling’s remaining members; donated his last synthcoke dose to Shoa Ling; disguised himself for the approach on Continental Brands
- Session 06 — Grenaded and stole a Continental Brands helicopter mid-raid; threw its wounded pilot off the helipad; flew it back to Goose Salvage to stash and repaint
- Session 07 — Traded the stolen helicopter for a gyrocopter and 6,000 EB; leveled Nomad to rank 5; upgraded the Zipmobile
- Session 08 — Took delivery of the finished Zipmobile; test-drove it on dirt with Kenny and Peaches; met with Mira Stojanovic and Peaches on the Blacktop Saints; bought smart glasses with a low-light optic; fire-danced at the campfire
- Session 09 — Led the crew to the Blacktop Saints’ camp; talked past Ledger; beat the Duke Boys and the General in a dirt-track race; agreed to a danger race; argued against starting a clan war over the engine; leveled Dance
