The Zip Mobile

Overview

Mr. Zip’s compact ground car. Based on a modified Mitsubishi Evo-style design. His most valued possession, cosmically speaking, is the plastic Jesus on the dashboard.

Description

  • Base: Compact ground car (Mitsubishi Evo-inspired)

  • Color: Midnight blue

  • EMP Threading: When switched on, the car lights up like a Tron vehicle — light blue line patterns over dark blue. Mr. Zip’s own EMP threading (on his tracksuit) matches.

  • Headlights: Can be switched to red

  • Dashboard: Plastic Jesus figurine (Mr. Zip’s most prized possession)

  • History: Came out of the nomad pack’s compact ground car pool; modified over time into a personal vehicle and racing machine

  • Later upgrades (Sessions 07–08): rebuilt as a high-performance ground car (40 move) with a new engine, bulletproof glass (15 HP/window), and a black paint job with three white stripes, courtesy of Vesna Ratchet

  • Wishlist (Session 09): weapons, before it can safely run a danger race, and a nitrous upgrade (rare, “very expensive,” needs Felix’s sourcing)

Status

Owner: Mr. Zip

Appearances

  • Session 00 — Described during character introduction
  • Session 01 — Primary crew transport throughout the session; used to move the crew to and from the South Bay docks and Piranha territory
  • Session 02 — Won a four-corner street race (Harvard → Pewter → University → Kolaski) against the Duke brothers, with Kenny Log-ins navigating; took a crossbow bolt through the rear window from Noah Duke mid-race (17 damage absorbed by vehicle body); used as impromptu holding cell for the cleaning lady from Nexus Mods; rear window repaired by Kenny (Land Vehicle Tech roll) before the break-in
  • Session 09 — First real race since the rebuild: beat the Duke Boys’ nitrous-equipped “General” on the Blacktop Saints’ dirt track, including a crit 360° swerve through a corner; its bulletproof glass kept Felix out of Ledger’s sight
