South Bay Drift

Overview

A nomad drift city on the south end of San Francisco Bay, situated roughly between the ruins of Palo Alto and San Jose. Home territory of Mr. Zip’s nomad pack, who ran a smuggling operation out of here — cyberware and tech salvage from Bay Area ruins moved south to Night City.

Competition with rival nomad packs eventually made the area too hot. Mr. Zip left for Night City solo, though his family still maintains a presence in the drift.

Known Connections

• Mr. Zip’s nomad pack — based here; origin point for their smuggling route south to Night City
• Mr. Zip — grew up here; still has family connections; can source vehicles through a local Night City contact

Open Questions

• What is the drift city’s actual name (if it has one)?
• Which nomad packs control it now?
• What’s left of the Bay Area ruins being scavenged?
