Active Threads
- Baby Girl: negotiate or steal? — The orbital engine is at the Blacktop Saints’ camp: a pickup-truck-sized engine on a trailer in plain sight, barely guarded, maintained by Ezekiel Washington, and a cornerstone of the Saints–Pacifica alliance. Stealing it needs outside transport and a spare driver and risks a clan war. Asking for it first tips the crew’s hand. Broker favors a negotiated “test run”/lease through Ledger. Kenny’s fallback is a heist disguised as raiders, possibly with Peaches driving. Mr. Zip floated a Continental Brands disguise or driving a wedge between the Saints and Pacifica. On hold until Felix returns. (Baby Girl, Session 09)
- The danger race — Mr. Zip beat the Duke Boys in a standard race and agreed to a danger race “soon.” The Zipmobile still has no weapons, and the General has nitrous and will get “a little extra something something.” It could double as cover for the engine heist. (Session 08, Session 09)
- Ledger is the gatekeeper — Felix’s life path enemy turns out to be “management” at the Saints’ camp, working for the Saints and Pacifica. He is openly suspicious of the crew and wants to talk to Felix. (Ledger, Session 09)
- Nitrous for the Zipmobile — Rare and “very expensive,” so it needs Felix’s sourcing. Kenny estimates two weeks to build one. The General has one. (Session 09)
- Ezekiel Washington, framed — Kenny planted forged records claiming the Saints’ mechanic damaged the engine and can’t fix it. The roll was low, so the forgery is likely sloppy; whether anyone believes it, or traces it back, is unknown. (Ezekiel Washington, Session 09)
- Hank Nguyen is now active — Broker’s life path rival confronted him in person for the first time, accusing him of fraud, then vowed to keep watching him. He followed Broker to the Blacktop Saints’ camp and glared at him in silence. (Session 08, Session 09)
- The Piranhas have splintered — Leaderless without Shoa Ling (fully assimilated into The Calling since Session 05), the gang is apparently fighting among itself over continued Vilify use; Golden Girl treated the wounded. (Session 08)
- The Moon job — Zach the Hot Dog Maniac’s still-unnamed employers want a sample of Continental Brands’ lunar chemical and intel on their operation, 1,000 EB each. Requires a derelict CB ship near Port Fantôme and an orbital engine currently held by the Pacifica Confederacy — now directly tied to the Blacktop Saints scouting above, since the Saints are Pacifica allies. The engine has now been located (see Baby Girl above), and the crew is treating the job as the plan without formally committing to Zach. (Session 07, Session 08, Session 09)
- The Calling’s Nonh supply crisis — Dr. Willie is out of Vilify and CB’s local Nonh supply chain is destroyed; the only significant remaining source is off-world (the Moon, low-gravity synthesis only). Two competing stopgaps now on the table: Kenny’s cryo-freezing proposal, or Mr. Zip’s idea of exiling members off-world via the Moon job. Neither committed to. The DM calls this the crew’s biggest ticking clock; Kenny hopes Dr. Willie and Golden Girl can put some members on ice in the meantime. (Session 06, Session 07, Session 09)
- Isabella and Broker — Isabella confronted Broker directly over the Continental Brands raid’s fallout and refused to go down with him if Escalante’s play collapses. This session she overheard talk of rocket launchers for a danger race and was alarmed before Broker smoothed it over — her scrutiny of the crew’s plans is ongoing. (Session 07, Session 08)
- Unity and Kenny — She’s now been on the receiving end of two close-call phone calls and seen him drunk, high, and reckless; this session her only reply to his pre-trip heads-up was a rolling-eyes emoji. How much more the relationship can take is an open question. (Session 06, Session 07, Session 08)
- Kenny and Golden Girl — He mentioned, unprompted, that she still won’t install his bone lace — a small but pointed note of friction in a relationship that hasn’t had much focus. (Session 08)
- Kenny’s father — The “hyper competent edge runner” visions driving his linear frame build are the most direct on-screen gesture yet toward his unconfirmed life path backstory. (Session 07)
- The Pacifica Confederacy’s buildup near Ziptown — Matriarch Mira Stojanovic warned they’re “gathering for something bigger,” and remains anxious and sleepless over it. A likely flashpoint once the crew needs their engine for the Moon job. Session 09 showed a visible uniformed Pacifica presence at the Saints’ camp, which looks more like a proto-government outpost than a nomad camp. (Session 07, Session 08, Session 09)
- Will Continental Brands retaliate? — Mr. Continental was deceived, defeated, and sent home on foot, humiliated; Alvin Partridge is still unwittingly pursuing a corporate partnership with them. (Session 06, Session 07)
- Felix’s synthcoke dependency — Once shared with Kenny as the “Bump Brothers.” In Session 09 Felix was in withdrawal, begging for Kenny’s deliberately botched batch, and high and checked out all day. Kenny faked his own bump and told the crew Felix “might have a problem.” (Session 05, Session 09)
- Kenny’s custom “smart” ammo — Still pending; deferred to Felix again, and not addressed this session either. (Session 04, Session 07)
- Good Movie Night — Kenny’s deal with Don Swayze: restore the Schroeder’s Theater projector → protection fee drops to zero. Fulfilled Session 03.
- Kenny’s life path connections — Vale (corporate exec enemy), Annie Linux (imprisoned lover), Rook (childhood enemy), plus Breaker (friend) and Switch (mentor). Named via background material; none confirmed in play yet. (Kenny Log-ins)
- Golden Girl’s roommate — Unnamed, flagged early as a potential story hook. Still open. (Session 00)
Resolved Threads
-
The Blacktop Saints standard race — Mr. Zip beat the Duke Boys and the General on their home dirt track; the danger race is next. (Session 09)
-
The stolen Continental Brands container — Traced to the Piranhas (Session 01), source confirmed as Dr. Willie’s instructions (Session 02). (Session 01, Session 02)
-
Vilify supply chain — Fully mapped: Nonh → Dr. Willie → Piranhas → street outlets. Operation disrupted by CB raid. (Session 02)
-
The Escalante data cube — Recovered (Session 02), decrypted, and sold to Zach the Hot Dog Maniac’s employers for 3,000 EB. (Session 04)
-
Continental Brands as an active threat — Escalated from an escort (Session 02) through a retainer, a purge of The Calling, and a direct raid by the crew that ended in Mr. Continental’s defeat and retreat. (Session 06)
-
Mr. Zip’s stolen helicopter — Traded to Ziptown for a gyrocopter and 6,000 EB. (Session 07)
-
Mr. Zip’s armor upgrade — Confirmed as Light Armor Jack. (Session 07)
-
Radovan’s surname — What looked like a discrepancy (established as Dianvich, self-identified in play as Stoyanovich) turned out to be a transcription error going back to Session 00: the real family surname, shared by Radovan, cousin Vanya, and Ziptown matriarch Mira, is Stojanović. (Session 07)
-
Dr. Willie’s custody — Freed from Continental Brands and reunited with The Calling. (Session 06)
