Hank Nguyen

Overview

A professional rival of Broker’s in the corporate world. A Frank Grimes analog — he got to his position through hard work and grinding from nothing, and deeply resents Broker for coasting on charm and good fortune. Watches for any mistake Broker makes and moves quickly to exploit it, trying to tighten the noose whenever Broker puts his head in it.

Known Facts

• Self-made corporate exec; no inherited wealth or connections — earned everything through grind
• Resents Broker for charming his way through corporate life while others had to scrape
• Actively works to undermine Broker when opportunities arise
• Session 08: made his first in-person appearance, tracking Broker down at Ziptown to confront him — accused him of being a fraud who skated on the Continental Brands fallout with Alvin Partridge while more deserving people (himself) get nothing; insisted he’s more qualified for Broker’s role
• Backed off after Broker passed a Persuasion roll, but vowed to prove Broker’s a fraud and keep watching him — delivered the threat while walking backwards, still pointing, for an embarrassingly long time before disappearing behind a building
• Session 09: followed Broker from Ziptown to the Blacktop Saints’ camp. He had rubbed dirt over his suit and face in a failed attempt to blend in with the nomads. Isabella spotted him staring at Broker “with rage in his eyes” while the crew was brainstorming a spin-class business. He said nothing and stormed off. Mr. Zip’s read is that he’s trying to steal Broker’s ideas

Open Questions
